Wang Cong was the biggest favorite on Saturday’s UFC fight card, and she delivered.
Cong made her promotional debut against Victoria Leonardo in the first fight of the night at UFC Vegas 96. The longtime kickboxer absolutely crushed Leonardo with a brutal three-punch combination, with the finishing shot knocking Leonardo to the floor. The referee ultimately stopped the bout after just 62 seconds, giving Cong the fastest debut finish in the history of the UFC women’s flyweight division.

Cong holds a kickboxing victory against former UFC champ Valentina Shevchenko from 2015, and made her pro MMA debut in July 2022. Since then, Cong has won all six of her fights, finishing four of those six opponents inside of two rounds.
After the win, Cong called out the UFC for booking her on the opening prelim instead of putting her on the main card.
Leonardo has been stopped in the first round in two straight bouts, and is now 1-4 in the UFC.
