Ayutthaya temple ruins

Ayutthaya, a former capital of Thailand from 1350 to 1767, is and interesting historic spot visited by large numbers of tourists on a one-day trip from Bangkok.

Ruins of over 400 magnificent Buddhist monasteries in the area called the Old Capital in the center of the city left standing after the sacking of the city through the Burmese can b explored at leisure.

Recommendable is to rent a bicycle to be able to move around easier.
